Teal and Ochre Irish Seascape

Layered teals meet sandy ochre across this 60 x 60 cm canvas. I used a palette knife for the sharp geometric blocks, and you can see where I scraped back the top layer in the lower right - burnt orange peeking through. There's a faint smudge near the center where my hand brushed wet paint. The thick impasto catches side light and creates subtle shadows. Some edges are a bit rough where I applied the paint thickly. Hand-painted original with texture you'd have to see in person. I started this piece while reflecting on the coastal views from Louisburgh. It reminds me of rainy days spent gazing at the water.
